Welcome

Welcome to St. Matthew the Apostle Episcopal Church in South Miami.

We hope you will join us in person very soon!

The Episcopal Church is known as a “bridge tradition” because it encompasses both the Catholic and Protestant traditions in one spiritual family. We are members of the worldwide Anglican Communion; along with 85 million other Anglican Christians throughout the world. Wherever you are on your journey in faith, there is a place here for you. Come and experience the love of God with us as we worship, serve, and seek to follow the way of Jesus together.

All are welcome!

“Notre Dame Before the Fire” Thank you to our special guests, Rev. Douglass E. Ray and Melissa Ray for sharing the screening debut of their video "Notre Dame Before the Fire". In Fr. Ray’s words: “We finished filming this video shortly before the fire that devastated Notre Dame in Paris on April 15, 2019. The morning after the fire, I sat down to compose an orchestral soundtrack inspired by Notre Dame’s grandeur and quiet serenity, her 2000-year history, and her enduring place in the hearts of men and women the world over.” It is a magnificent video .
