St. Matthew the Apostle
Episcopal Church
Welcome to St. Matthew the Apostle Episcopal Church in South Miami.
We hope you will join us in person very soon! The Episcopal Church is known as a “bridge tradition” because it encompasses both the Catholic and Protestant traditions in one spiritual family. We are members of the worldwide Anglican Communion; along with 85 million other Anglican Christians throughout the world. Wherever you are on your journey in faith, there is a place here for you. Come and experience the love of God with us as we worship, serve, and seek to follow the way of Jesus together. All are welcome!

Fall Book Group
Our Book Group returns this fall for group study of a book by Fr. Richard Rorh OFM, Jesus’ Alternative Plan – The Sermon on the Mount. “When Jesus talked about the Kingdom of God, he was talking about an utterly different way of relating to human society as we know it. He lays out a blueprint for this new life in his best-known teaching, the Sermon on the Mount…. In this book, Rorh goes through the teachings of the sermon, explaining the historical and cultural context of each verse and offering guidance for what it means for Christians today.” To purchase the book through Amazon, click here.
We will meet on the third Friday of the month in the Conference Room, for a simple lunch (which will be provided) and conversation, 12 noon to 1:30 pm or earlier. Please let us know if you are going to attend any of the sessions so that we may plan for lunch.
