Welcome to St. Matthew the Apostle Episcopal Church in South Miami.

We hope you will join us in person very soon!
The Episcopal Church is known as a “bridge tradition” because it encompasses both the Catholic and Protestant traditions in one spiritual family. We are members of the worldwide Anglican Communion; along with 85 million other Anglican Christians throughout the world. Wherever you are on your journey in faith, there is a place here for you. Come and experience the love of God with us as we worship, serve, and seek to follow the way of Jesus together.
All are welcome!

Bienvenidos a St. Matthew

Summer Program 2025

Summer Reading

We invite you to a summer reading delight, Upstream – Selected Essays by Mary Oliver. Do not read it in a rush: it is meant to be savored, perfect for summer sloth.  Mary Oliver was a poet whose poetry (and prose) exude her love for the natural world and its creator. When summer is over, we will get together to share our reflections and thoughts about the book. ‘Til then.

Health & Wellness Fair
Saturday, February 7, 2026

We are in the initial planning stages of what we hope will be our First Annual Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, February 7, 2026.  This will be an opportunity for us to reach out to serve our community.

As the name suggests, we will focus on health but also on wellness. So, if you have an affinity with, or special interest in, any particular aspect of these disciplines, please consider volunteering to serve on our planning committee.  We need you, and we suspect it will be rewarding. If you are interested, please speak to Louise Gleason or Mother Busto.
